These are the faces of the 8 dogs saved from from a commercial breeding facility (aka Puppy Mill) in Lancaster County last week- Sweet Pea, Rover, Alabama, June, Alyana, Twinkle, Valerie, and Rocky.
This particular commercial breeding facility is on the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) list of the top 100 worst puppy mills in the country- so we can only imagine what these sweet souls have endured.
Their ages range from 6 months to 8 years, and while we can’t share any of the details about these dogs’ stories and how they ended up coming to us at this time…we can report that we are so happy they are now all safe and in our loving care.
They are all shut down and have both physical and emotional wounds that will need healing, but they are all on their way to a better brighter future, day by day!
These sweet souls will all need a lot of medical care, including the basics such as vaccines, microchips, spaying/neutering, vet exams, and treatment for any other medical issues that may come up along the way. Extensive medical needs are unfortunately extremely common in puppy mill dogs who have faced neglect for most, if not all, of their lives.
