Eloise

Eloise (fka Molly) came to us from a commercial breeding facility in Lancaster County, along with a few other “mill mamas” who were all living in rabbit hutches in an open field.

“Mill mamas” are the female dogs forced to produce litter after litter of puppies, until they no longer physically can. They typically live outdoors in small cages their entire lives, receive little to no vet care, no human interaction, and are treated as a tool to make profit instead of a living being.

Eloise and her friends came to us shut down and in desperate need of medical attention. Thanks to a grant revived by the ALITE fund, we were able to quickly give them all the medical care they needed to get their health back, and one by one they soon found their happily ever afters!

Please read this wonderful update from Eloise’s forever mom:

“Eloise has fully settled in to her beautiful new life in Vermont! She LOVES stuffies! I have about a million sweet photos of her snuggling them throughout the day. She loves going on walkies, and visiting our 80 year old neighbors who keep treats for her at their house. She is very expressive with her paws. When she loves someone, she will gently put her paw on their arm. I got a sling for her, so I can take her shopping with me, and I can barely get any shopping done because SO many people come up to meet her and she LOVES it.

Eloise is the sweetest, most loving girl. I am so grateful that she was meant to be mine in this life. I am also beyond grateful for dog rescues who save these beautiful souls on a daily basis, and find them loving homes. Thank you for everything you do, and for bringing Eloise into my life!”

Big hugs to Eloise and her wonderful family! We are so lucky and grateful to find families who want to give a deserving dog a happy life, even if it might take a little bit of extra love and time! Stories like this are why we do what we do, and we can’t tell you how much they mean to us!
