Goldie

Goldie (formerly Chance) came to us after being rescued from a hoarding situation, along with several other dogs, where they had been living in neglect.

After spending some time in our care, Goldie wasn’t receiving much adoption interest. When she joined us at an adoption event, she finally caught the attention of several potential adopters, but no one was quite ready to take her home. That’s when her forever mom offered to foster her for just a few nights… and the rest is history! Today, her days are filled with love, comfort, and a family who truly adores her. This is the happy ending we hope for every dog who comes through our rescue.

Please enjoy this wonderful update from Goldie’s forever family:

“It’s been 1 year today that we met Goldie at the Orvis Adoption Day event. I am so thankful she came into our (husband Adam too) lives.
But we have really been through it this past year. Two TPLO surgeries, physical therapy, hydrotherapy, dental cleaning and broken tooth extraction. Her care has put a big dent in our wallets. But that’s just what you do for those you love. You take care of them. She has been such a happy girl through it all.
As I write this today, on her 1st Gotcha Day, it’s been so amazing to see her come out the other side and be able to run again, chase a chipmunk, play ball outside and go on adventures unencumbered by pain.
We are currently in Cape Cod and we just got a ride in a pedicab. She was so good. Goldie has so many more adventures with us ahead and we couldn’t be more thrilled with her.
Laurie, Adam, Twiggy and Goldie.”

Big hugs to Goldie and her forever family! Thank you for opening your hearts to such a sweet girl and giving her everything she needed to thrive. We are so grateful to have been part of her journey and to see her living the happy, healthy life she deserves.
