Levi (formerly Eli) came to us from a commercial breeding facility in Lancaster County after not being able to be sold.

Commercial breeding facilities aka Puppy mills typically mass produce puppies, having their breeding mothers produce litter after litter with no care for the mom’s health or the genetics/long term health of the puppies they breed.

Levi, like most puppy mills dogs, came to us shy and under socialized. These dogs need a family willing to go the extra mile to help them learn the socialization that they missed early in life. With the right guidance and care, they turn into wonderful, happy dogs, but this is not without effort and patience on behalf of their forever family.

Luckily, Levi quickly found himself a loving family willing to help him learn how to be a happy and well adjusted dog! They picked him based on his personality, not what they thought they wanted in a dog, and the match was perfect! Please read this update from his forever mom below:

“Levi was adopted from Angel’s Retreat in 2022, and he’s been living his very best doggy life ever since! His favorite things include pup cups, treats, snuggles, stuffies, and long walkies. He loves cooling off in the water at the dog beach, but bath time? Absolutely not. (Dog logic. 🤷‍♀️)

These days, Levi truly rules the house, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We’re so incredibly grateful to Angel’s Retreat for rescuing him and giving us the chance to welcome him into our family. He has brought so much love and happiness into our lives.”
