Wiley is one very special boy who originally came to us as a stray, transferred from another shelter with an unknown history. He immediately stole our hearts when we first met him, and we didn’t hesitate to get him the help he needed to find his happily ever after.

We can only imagine what horrors Wiley endured before coming into our care. When he arrived, he was severely emaciated and missing nearly all of his fur. Every bone in his body was visible, and he was covered in wounds, both old and new.

One of our incredible longtime fosters, who also happens to be a vet tech, welcomed Wiley into her home to help him gain weight, heal his skin, and give his coat time to grow back. It’s amazing how something as simple as patience and love can completely transform a dog’s life.

With time, Wiley’s foster family helped him reach a healthy weight and even got him the most adorable PJs to protect his sensitive skin while his beautiful coat came back in. Luckily for Wiley, his fur was slow to grow…because during that time, his foster family fell completely in love. We can now officially say what we secretly hoped all along: Wiley’s foster family became his forever family!

This family has fostered countless dogs of all ages and breeds over the years, but had never found the one until Wiley. We couldn’t be happier that this special boy found his way home with such an amazing family.

This is what rescue is all about: giving dogs a chance to heal, to be loved, and to show the world just how extraordinary they truly are.

These days, this handsome guy spends his time trying on outfits, being styled by his mom, rocking the coolest collars around, and soaking up all the love and happiness he deserves. We may never know what his past looked like, but we do know his future is filled with nothing but joy.
